While everyone is starting to get used to life being in lockdown, it does not make it any easier to get rid of that feeling of boredom that can strike when you are preparing for yet another night at home. While staying at home is crucial, it is also essential to find ways to keep yourself occupied and make all the time you are spending indoors enjoyable. This is where the internet comes in handy – thank goodness for the internet! Online you will find a whole range of activities that will ensure that you stay entertained while you are staying in. Here are some online entertainment ideas that will help you to beat the lockdown boredom:

Stream a Show

If you love a boxset binge, then you will be spoiled for choice right now. Netflix is obviously jam-packed with seasons and seasons of entertainment for you to watch, and new series are added all the time. Not forgetting the more recent introduction of Disney+ and BritBox streaming services.

Prefer the stage to the small screen? If you have been missing out on trips to the theatre, why not catch up with some fantastic productions from the comfort of your home? The National Theatre in London has many different shows available that can be streamed from home through their National Theatre at Home service, which is worth checking out.

Play Online Games

Playing online games is an excellent way to stay entertained at home. Playing your favourite video games live against your friends in different households is a great way to stay connected even though you cannot be in the same room. Alternatively, you may be missing glamorous nights out at a casino and want to try visiting an Online Casino instead.

There are loads of online games available to keep you occupied in the evenings, including lots that you can play against friends and family.

Start a Blog

Are you desperate to find an outlet for your thoughts and want to share them with the world? If so, how about starting a blog? Blogging is such a popular hobby nowadays and can even become a way to generate extra income. If you have a subject that you are passionate about and want to write about it to connect with other people, then a blog could be the perfect way to make that happen.

Take Part in a Quiz
If you miss your regular pub quiz, how about switching to a virtual quiz until the lockdown comes to an end? While the pubs are not open right now, you don’t need to let your general knowledge go to waste. There are lots of weekly online quizzes to watch live on YouTube that will satisfy your competitive streak and make you feel like you are on a night out, even though you are just in your living room. The great news is that many of the online quizzes are free of charge, so they are a perfect choice for a cheap night-in.
