The Mayor of Scaredy Cat Town

February 7, 2014 4:30 pm

London is well known for its nightlife, with an amazing selection of renowned and awesome bars. But what about the unknown ones? I’m talking about London’s secret bars.

You may have heard about The Breakfast Club.

It’s great, especially the pancakes – I didn’t realise until my visit there that pancakes, eggs, bacon and maple syrup go together, but it’s a must-have. Honestly!

So many have heard of this chain, you may have heard about the great combo of syrup and a fry-up. But, what you might not know is that The Breakfast Club on Artillery Lane has a hidden secret.

Go over to the bar and say “We’re here to see the mayor of scaredy cat town” and you’ll be taken through what appears to be a fridge. But this is no fridge!

This is a passageway to an underground bar, where you can enjoy a wide range of yummy drinks and food in this very atmospheric hidden gem!
