Simple Ways To Make Money Online During Quarantine

June 4, 2020 10:31 pm

Quarantine has been a huge change in our lives. Since the end of March most of us have been at home either working, furloughed, or lost our jobs completely.

Struggling for money is horrible as it is, but at a time like this where the world is in crisis, it can be the difference between having to borrow a few pennies from your family to spiralling into debt consolidation loans for bad credit.

If you have been worrying about your financial health during this quarantine period, you may be thinking of ways to make some money at home safely before heading back to work. Today we have some ideas for how you can make some money online during lockdown.

Sell artwork

If you have an artistic eye and love to play around with colour, selling a couple of art pieces is a great way to earn extra cash online. As long as you have the means to post your artwork to the recipient there is no reason why you can’t create some fun pieces and sell them off online this year. Don’t worry about whether you are as good as other artists because art is about expression, and someone will always love something you might not.

Sell furniture

Now that we have been in lockdown for nearly 3 months, many of us have resorted to DIY and renovation at home. If you are clearing out your home this week and come across old furniture that you no longer need, don’t throw it away! Sell your old furniture on eBay and you will be able to make money off things you would have otherwise thrown away.

Sell your wardrobe

Most of us have a bad habit of hoarding clothes, and during lockdown it has been much harder to resist the lure of 20% off our favourite stores and this has caused a lot of us to buy things we may not need. If you are someone guilty of buying items you don’t need this year, you need to consider having a clear out. Once you have cleared out your closet, use Vinted to sell your old clothes and make some money!

Copywriting

As well as making money from things in your own house, you can also make money online through freelancing. Although many operations have slowed down right now, it doesn’t mean you can’t still make money online doing freelance work. One great example of this is copywriting, where you can be paid to create articles, product descriptions, reviews and more.

Editing

If copywriting isn’t really for you, another way to make money freelancing is editing. People will send you pieces of content or images and you can edit them and proofread them. It is a rewarding job that doesn’t take too long and will allow you to get some much needed cash on the side.

Skillshare

If you have a skill or a talent to share with the world, why not make a skillshare class? Anyone can create a class, and you can share learning materials and tests to bring value to people all over the world.
