Upgrading Your Motorcycle Without Breaking The Bank

February 8, 2021 7:18 pm

If you’re a motorcycle lover, you know just how much time and effort goes into maintaining your vehicle. Sure, they’re hardy models, and you’re a good owner, but sometimes a motorcycle requires a bit of an upgrade to make it a worthy contender on modern roads.

This is especially true if you’re new to riding a motorcycle – it’s a lot easier for first time owners to let the bike go off the road simply because they underestimated how heavy their vehicle is.

Let’s make motorcycle ownership easier on you. With these very simple bike upgrades below, you’ll be able to keep your motorcycle riding well, and you won’t have to fork out too much either!

Swap Out the Tires

The tires currently on your motorcycle might not be best for purpose, and it might be a good idea to swap them out for a new set. Yes, this upgrade is the priciest one on this list, with the average price of motorcycle tires being £80 and over, but they’re definitely worth your time and money!

Thankfully, you can find a whole list of the best motorcycle tires of 2020 right here. Make sure you take a look through them all, and find a set that really suits your needs. Even someone who stays on the street most of the time needs to hit the offroad sometimes!

Make it a More Comfortable Ride

Your bike needs to be comfortable to ride – as we mentioned above, it’s probably a lot rougher and heavier to be on than you were first expecting! Thankfully, there are a lot of budget friendly upgrades you can give your motorcycle to improve the way it feels when you ride.

For example, investing in some new tank pads or a tank skin can help you to grip much better with legs and boots, and support yourself much better when you’re new to handling how the bike rides. They’ll also ensure the tank is less prone to scratching! And on this website, you’ll find quite a few other accessories like these to make your time riding your motorcycle a lot better on your body.

Install Some Better Lights

And finally, you might want to get your hands on some better lights for your bike as well. This is a good way to make sure than an older, second hand bike is just as road safe as the newer models, and it’s a great way to add just a little more flavour to a motorcycle as well.

Most of all, you’re going to want to add some LED lights to your bike. These last longer, rarely dim over time, and they’re a great purchase for people on a strict budget. You can even use LEDs in place of regular indicators, which are great for late nights, and they look great too.

Your motorcycle doesn’t need to cost an arm and a leg. Upgrade it with items like these and you’ll be riding in comfort and style!
