My name is Samuel James (most people call me Sam), I'm from the West Midlands and I'm 22 years old. Currently, I am studying BA (Hons) Film Studies at the University of Wolverhampton and have just completed my first year. The course consists of modules based on both theoretical and practical study of film as well as TV. In my first year from six modules studied, I achieved three A grades and three B's. Furthermore, I am a keen admirer of writing and journalism. Since I was 16, I have been writing my own film reviews and with more practice and gaining a more critical insight into cinema, it has become more than a passion. In fact, a film critic is my dream job. I like publishing other prose pieces too which include film essays (most of which I did for university) and I'm currently writing an auto-biography. Finally, I love being part of a film/TV production crew. I'm currently at the stage where I'm trying to gain as much experience as possible and my main strengths at the moment are directing, camera operator, camera assistant, editing, production assistant, stop-motion animation and partially screenwriting.
