8 Active Day Out Ideas For Adults

January 22, 2021 6:30 pm

As we get older, we tend to forget how much we love to play and focus on working, making money, and other adult-y type things. This means we forget to have fun, and forget to go out there and do things purely for the adrenaline! Well, if the last year has taught us anything, it’s that life is short. There’s never been a better time to start planning how you’re going to spend your time in the future. Here are some great active day out ideas for adults that are sure to give you a thrill and bring your life some major excitement:

  1. Ice Skating

Ice skating is a skill, but that doesn’t mean you can’t do it. First, get used to being on the ice in your skates, and then gradually make your way further out, practicing not holding on to the side. You’ll probably fall over a few times, but you could learn some neat tricks. There’s no feeling like freely skating along on the ice! Have some lessons if you’re worried about failing at it and you should get a bit of confidence.

  1. Indoor Skydiving

A skydive might seem like a bit of a stretch to you – not everybody wants to jump out of a plane from a great height, but most people would love to know what it feels like. Indoor skydiving gives you this opportunity! You don’t need to jump, but you can float in the air like you’re flying and enjoy the feeling of a skydive.

  1. A Zombie Experience

Ever wondered how you would fare if the world suddenly succumbed to a zombie apocalypse? Well, now you can get a pretty good idea. A zombie experience might not be for everyone, but it could be a lot of fun for those who have a love of scary stuff!

  1. Paintballing

Paintballing can be painful, which is why you should only ever do it with reputable companies, following their instructions, and wearing the appropriate tactical clothing to avoid injuries. This can be a great annual event for a group of friends, or even a stag party idea.

  1. Segway Adventure

Segways are having a bit of a moment, as they are great for exploring nature and even cities with ease. It’s really safe, and segways are good for the planet!

  1. Caving

Caving could be a good activity for those who want to explore what lies under the earth’s surface, and test their physical strength.

  1. Tandem Bungee Jump

Want to do something super thrilling with somebody you love? Try a tandem bungee jump! There’s nothing quite like falling through the air together and bouncing back to bring you closer together.

  1. Off Roading Challenge

An off roading challenge could be a thrill for those who want to get out there and explore the nitty gritty of the wilderness in a sturdy, reliable vehicle. This isn’t something you get to do every day, and could make a great adventure gift for somebody special!

Which of these ideas do you like most? Leave a comment!
