7 Must-Have Features For Your Business Website

When it comes to setting up your business’ website, there are a lot of features available. The options that you choose will help you to set yourself apart from the competition. 

In this article, we’ll look at seven of the must-have features for your business website. 

1. Navigation Bar 

If you’re creating your own website from scratch- don’t try to reinvent the wheel. Choose a layout and design that is intuitive and have a navigation bar at the top or on the side of the page where people will expect to find it. 

2. Images 

Your website will look pretty dull without any visual elements to it. Images make the dense text easier to process. You could use images of your products or break up the page with an ad for your new services. 

3. Chat Boxes

When it comes to engaging with your site’s visitors, you will want a way for them to get in touch. One of the ways that you could do this is by adding in a live chat function. This can be powered by AI, however, all of the messages could be transferred to one or more of your team. 

You may also want to consider adding in chatrooms or even video chat software for website. This will give your site additional functionality and allow you to host online events from your website. Video chat improves your customer support by providing face-to-face contact in a convenient way. 

4. Call To Actions 

At the end of every page or post on your website, you should use a call-to-action. This prompts the person visiting your site and reading the page to do something. This could be a call for them to get in touch with you to book your services, or it may be signposting them to more content elsewhere on the site. 

5. Testimonials 

Testimonials are a great form of social proofing. Get in touch with previous customers and find out if they will be able to provide a few short lines talking about the excellent experience that they have had with your company. 

6. Subscriber Opt-in 

At every point, you want to be doing everything that you can to increase your customer base. You can do this by using subscriber opt-in pop-up boxes on your website. 

If you want to increase the number of subscribers that you have, try offering people something for signing up. For example, if you run an eCommerce website, you may want to offer 10% off the customer’s first order if they sign up to the mailing list. 

7. Social Media Share Icons 

In this day-and-age social media rules supreme. You need to make sure that you make it as easy as possible for your visitors to share your site and content on social media. You can do this by including prominently positioned, well-designed social media share buttons on all of your pages. Make sure that you include all of the top social media sites.
